I. Equipment Drainage
Reciprocating Machine
1.1 Open the steam control panel to ensure the air pressure is above 0.6 MPa. Close the main water inlet valve and press the drain button on the car wash machine screen to drain the water vapor from the pipes.
1.2 After drainage, open the steam control panel drain valve and the main water inlet valve to drain the water from the main water pipe.
1.3 Open the drain valve at the lowest point of the cable tray pipe, then press the drain button on the touchscreen to drain the water.
Equipped with a Vertical Centrifugal Pump
2.1 Open the Y-type filter valve at the pump inlet to drain the water from the tank and pipes.
2.2 Use a wrench to open the drain valve at the bottom of the pump body to drain the water from the pump body.
2.3 Open the vent valve on the pump body halfway to prevent negative pressure from forming inside the pump.
II. Water Pump and High-Pressure Pump Maintenance
1. Add insulation material to the water pump to prevent it from freezing due to low temperatures.
2. Temporarily drain the medium from unused water pumps. Add medium before use to prevent the pump from freezing and damaging itself due to lack of operation.
3. For both heated and unheated basement pump rooms, ensure doors and windows are tightly closed. For unfinished basement pump rooms, the ventilation duct must be blocked and the medium inside the pump and equipment drained.
4. For water pumps installed outdoors or in locations without heating and ventilation, it is recommended to check for freezing damage before operation. If the pump is found to be frozen, thaw it first. If you are unsure how to thaw it, please contact our after-sales personnel for guidance. Do not force operation, as frozen parts are prone to deformation and damage.
5. If the pump body is not severely frozen, hot or boiling water can be poured into the pump to thaw it, or the pump casing can be heated.
6. Water pumps are manufactured with a water voltage test. A small amount of residual medium may remain inside the pump body. This residual medium freezing will not affect the pump; it will thaw after being thawed by water and can be used normally.
The above are essential antifreeze steps to take after a day of car washing, or in low temperatures in northern regions.
III. Precautions for Low-Temperature Car Washing
During equipment operation, the antifreeze self-regulation mode should also be activated. During car wash intervals or short pauses, activate the antifreeze mode. The equipment can run the brushes empty to shake off water and drain residual water from the pipes, keeping the brushes dry and preventing freezing, thus ensuring normal car washing.
